Meterseal MD

Twist seals Meterseal MD, Meterseal T208, Meterseal T and Taho Seal are security sealing solutions used mainly in securing equipment and control devices from activity domains like electricity, gas, oil and fuel transport and/or general merchandise. They are an substitute for the ancient lead seal solution providing a better security and traceability solution being standard laser marked with company logo and serial number. If requested barcodes can be laser printed on opaque white body of the meter seals.

Meter seals are disposable tamper-evident security seals which restricts access to closed objects, for security acces purposes, for those who do not have clearance to interfere.

Highly usable on securing utility meters devices, taxi meters devices, trucks tachograph, and control cabinets to provide tamper evident security check.

Twist seals

Twist seals (Пломби за водомери, Metara brtve, Σφραγίδες ασφαλείας του μετρητή, Méteres biztonsági plombák, Sigilli di sicurezza per contatori, Meter-Sicherheitsdichtungen), like Meterseal MD, Meterseal T208, and Meterseal T, are used with electric or gas or water meters, and usually molded in polycarbonate. The transparent body of the seal means that the locking mechanism is visible and can provide clear indication of tampering with.

Twist seals can withstand exposure to heavy sunlight, extreme weather, and a wide range of negative temperatures.

Meter security seals are designed for only a single use and they are destroyed when removed. This is the main purpose of antitampering evidence of security seals on an unauthorized action / intervention on an protected item.

A metallic wire is used for increasing the security strength of the seal. Meter seals can be ordered also with PVC coated metallic cable.

Meter security seals are ideal for applications requiring security seals to fit through small closures of less than 1.5mm diameter.

Some twist seals contain components which glow under ultraviolet light, allowing the seal to be easily located in darkness.

Twist seals are client customized with company logo, serial number and barcodes laser printed on them without the possibility that the print will be erased accidentally or by purpose.

Twist seals are not designed to resolve all security problems. The effectiveness of seals is strongly dependent on the proper protocols for using them. These protocols are the official and unofficial procedures used for seal procurement, storage, record keeping, installation, inspection, removal, disposal, reporting, interpreting findings, and training. With a good protocol, a modest seal can provide excellent security. On the other hand, a sophisticated seal used poorly may be worse than useless if naively trusted.

Once the twist locking mechanism of the Metersead MD shape and functionality remaining it is introduced some variations of the shapes and the dimensions of the flags and rotating keys this resulting in new marketed seals as Meterseal T208 and Meterseal T. Also the pricing for Meterseal T208 and Meterseal T have a better starting price for order quantities larger than 10,000 pieces.

New product line: TAHO SEAL is a twist seal for securely sealing the linkage between the motion sensor and transmission to ensure adherence to working time regulation of commercial vehicles and their drivers. The TAHO SEAL prevents the illegal tampering of the sensor to prevent recording of commercial vehicle’s operation according of EU Regulation SR EN 16882 for vehicles of categories M1, N1, M2, N2, M3, and N3.

The TAHO SEAL will be laser printed with unique personalized serial number and barcodes of data matrix. The color of the security seal body is opaque white and the rotor of the twist seal is blue or red. The cable attached have a diameter of 0.9 mm of plasticized steel.
