Cable seals
Cable seals are tamper evident security seals with body and safety elements all metallic made. Attachments are made of metallic cables which provide a adjustable length closing and sealing solution. The locking mechanism is also metal made for a strong locking solution.
This kind of metallic wire security seals allow for more versatile application, as they have variable length limited only by the metallic cable length. An internal locking mechanism prevents the cable from being retracted.
For an increasing security level some cable seals have two locking mechanisms such as Aldlock Duo security seal.
It is very easy to follow the procedure of security sealing your item with the cable seal: insert loose end of metallic cable through the locking mechanism whole and pull up tight. For removing the seal you will need a cutter for metallic wires.
Metallic cable seals with adjustable closure
Typical applications for this type of metal seals with metallic cable are including sealing cargo trucks, trailers, and railway cars transporting valuable commodities, drums, bulk tankers or usual goods and merchandise.
Most metallic security seals with metallic cable are classified as security or high security level as to ISO 17712. All ISO 17712 compliant security seals are numbered on both seal body and head, to prevent substitution of either part. This is usually done using laser marking, which cannot be rubbed off before destroying the metallic body of the security seal. This is why they are categorized as High Security Seals.
For the security sealing of the trucks usually use the seals with balls for a heavy duty solution as a complementary security solution. They consist of a metal tape with the pierced hole, attached to the section of the casing. When the tape is bent and threaded through the hole, the ball inside the hull section locked it in place. Most type of ball seals belong only to the indicative level of ISO 17712.
